Wellington World Champs II

Randwick Archery Club and Trentham Camp Archery Club are thrilled to bring you a tournament like no other - the Wellington World Championships part II!

The Wellington World Championships II will be held over Labour weekend, on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October at the Trentham and Randwick archery ranges. Archers will have the opportunity to enter field, clout, and target events, and will select from three distance classes.

Distances

Division 1 (Recurve)
Target - 80cm @ 30m
Field - Yellow peg (5-30m)
Clout - 125m.
(Barebow will shoot as above, but target will be 122cm @ 30m)

Division 1 (U16 Compound)
Under 16 years only
Target - 60cm @ 30m
Field - Yellow peg (5-30m)
Clout - 145m.

Division 2 (Recurve)
Target - 100cm @ 50m
Field - Blue peg (5-45m)
Clout - 145m.
(Barebow will shoot as above, but target will be 122cm @ 50m)

Division 2 (Compound)
Target - 60cm @ 50m
Field - Red peg (10-60m). Scoring 5-1, starting at the X-ring.
Clout - 185m.

Division 3 (Recurve)
Target - 122cm @ 70m
Field - Red peg (10-60m)
Clout - 165m.

Division 3 (Compound)
Target - 80cm @ 70m
Clout - 185m.
Field - Red peg (10-60m). Scoring 5-1, starting at the X-ring.


The schedule for the weekend is:

Saturday - Trentham Archery Club

  • 9am - 24-target Field Round
  • 1pm - Lunch break
  • 1:30pm - Clout Round
  • (Please arrive by 8:30am - shooting starts at 9am)

Sunday - Randwick Archery Club

  • 10am - 720 target round
  • 12pm - Lunch break
  • 1pm - Non-Elimination Match-play
  • Approx 3pm - Prizegiving
  • (Please arrive by 9:30am - shooting starts at 10am)

Please note, the timetable is approximate. While all efforts will be made to keep to time, some events may run over time due to the number of archers competing.

Entry fee
Both days: $40
One day: $25
Compound, recurve and barebow archers will compete together in the same divisions - group 1, 2, or 3. All genders and all age categories will also compete together.

Prizes will be awarded for:
1st place, 2nd, and 3rd in the Field event;
1st place, 2nd, and 3rd in the Clout event;
1st place, 2nd, and 3rd in the Target event;

Overall World Champion 1st Place, 2nd place, and 3rd place will also be awarded for top scoring archers who participate in all three events.


Archers are encouraged to compete in the division that best reflects their experience while still offering a degree of challenge. The Field Captain reserves the right to move archers to a different category if we feel an archer has selected an inappropriate division.
