Notice is hereby given of the Randwick Archery Club Annual General Meeting and Prizegiving to be held at Stopout Sports Club, 93 Hutt Park Road, Hutt Park, Lower Hutt on Sunday 25 September 2022 from 1pm to 4 pm:

The Annual General Meeting and Prizegiving will commence at 1.30pm, following a fun shoot in the morning, and a light lunch. Draft minutes from the 2021 AGM are attached below and are to be confirmed at the AGM.

Nominations for Committee:
All Committee positions are up for election, and these are:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Field Captain
5 General Committee Members
The general committee members are able to be assigned roles by the committee;  currently these include Privacy Officer, and Webmaster. Other roles may be created as required.
There will be an election for each position, and if a majority of votes is not received in favour of any nomination an email vote will be sought later from all members.

Nominations for committee positions can be forwarded to secretary@randwick-archery.org.nz no later than 21 September, alternatively nominations can also be made from the floor .  You may either complete the Nomination form below and scan back to the secretary email address, otherwise include the details in an email message.
Please note that all Committee members will be subject to  police vetting and will not be eligible if police vetting is declined or we do not receive a clear report. Please take that into consideration if you intend to stand for a committee position.

Important Note:   If you intend to nominate someone from the floor at the AGM please ensure that the member has agreed to the nomination; surprise nominations can be awkward.

Any remits/motions to be put to the AGM should be forwarded to the secretary before 4 September 2022.

Any apologies for the meeting can be sent  prior to the meeting date.

Life Membership Nomination
The Committee has received a nomination in writing for a Life Membership to be awarded to Eddie Hawkins our past President and current Vice President.   A copy of this nomination is attached below and will be voted on at the AGM.  There is one life membership available under current bylaws.

Life Membership Bylaw amendment
In receiving the nomination, the Committee also received a request to consider increasing the number of Life Memberships awarded at any one time.  The Committee has taken the opportunity to review the current bylaw in light of the request to consider an increase in Life Membership numbers, and agreed to recommend to the members that we change the bylaw to include some specific criteria for awarding Life Membership and increase the maximum number of Life Members at any one time as outlined in the attached document.

This bylaw will be put up for discussion under General Business at the AGM.

Program for the day:

The day will start at 10.00am (TBC) with a fun shoot at the Randwick range, no targets over 30 metres, great for all shooting levels with lots of fun and prizes.

The shoot will be followed by a light lunch at 1.00pm at the AGM venue above, to precede the AGM at 1.30pm.

We would like to see as many club members as possible at the AGM, its your opportunity to contribute to the club, and have your say on club decisions. We also need a reasonable number of attendees to meet our quorum for the meeting.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
